Daf dissolved air flotation equipment is a water treatment device that uses microbubbles to adhere to suspended solids in water to achieve solid-liquid separation. It is mainly used in the fields of industrial wastewater, municipal sewage, and drinking water treatment. The core principle is to release micro sized bubbles (20-50 μ m) through a dissolved gas system, causing suspended particles to adhere and form a floating slag layer, which is then cleaned by a scraping device to achieve purification.
1.Main types and characteristics
Dissolved air flotation machine
Dissolve air under pressure and release 10-100 μ m bubbles under reduced pressure, resulting in stable and efficient treatment effects
It includes three types: laminar flow, radial flow, and Nicolney pump, among which laminar flow is suitable for densities close to water.
Particle separation
Typical applications: Fiber recovery from papermaking wastewater, treatment of oily wastewater
Vortex concave air flotation machine (CAF)
By using an aeration impeller to directly generate bubbles, the energy consumption is only 1/8-1/10 of traditional methods
The removal rate of suspended solids and oils exceeds 95%, suitable for petrochemical and food processing wastewater.
Shallow air flotation machine
Based on the "shallow pool theory", the retention time is only 3-5 minutes, and the SS removal rate can reach 90% -99.5%
The height does not exceed 1 meter, and the footprint is reduced by 40% compared to traditional equipment.
2.Selection considerations
Bubble generation method
Electrolytic air flotation has finer bubbles (20-50 μ m) but higher costs
Scattered air flotation has low energy consumption but large bubbles (100-1000 μ m)
Energy consumption comparison
Dissolved air flotation consumes 0.02-0.04 kWh more electricity per cubic meter than sedimentation method
Vortex concave air flotation does not require pressure vessels and has significant energy-saving advantages
Maintenance requirements
The dissolved gas release device is prone to blockage and needs to be cleaned regularly
