Today hundreds of MBBR Media were delivered to Malaysia.
MBBR Media are key carriers in wastewater treatment systems that provide an attachment and growth environment for microorganisms. They can significantly improve sewage purification efficiency, especially playing a core role in circular aquaculture and sewage treatment projects.
In the process of wastewater treatment, especially in circular aquaculture and urban sewage treatment, a large amount of pollutants such as organic matter and ammonia nitrogen will accumulate in the water. Physical filtration alone is difficult to completely remove, while microorganisms can effectively decompose these substances. But microorganisms are small and easily lost, so they need a stable 'home' - this is the mission of biological fillers. As a carrier of microorganisms, it achieves efficient and sustainable water purification by forming biofilms.
When selecting mbbr filter media(k1 media,k3 meida,k5 media), the following parameters are crucial:
Specific surface area (m ²/m ³): The area per unit volume that can be used for microbial attachment. The larger the better, it directly affects the microbial load.
Material safety: Non toxic and corrosion-resistant materials (such as PP polypropylene) should be selected to avoid heavy metal precipitation affecting water quality or aquaculture.
Structural stability: Whether it is resistant to blockage, prone to film formation, and not prone to clumping, which affects long-term operational effectiveness.
Density and Fluidity: The packing density of the moving bed should be close to water to facilitate full tank fluidization under aeration and enhance mass transfer efficiency.
